What Home Means To Me

A house is a place with lots of heart put into the shape and structure of the building, making sure that people of all ages, size, and even people with disabilities can access stuff inside the house. On the other hand, my home is my safe place. My home is a place where you can show your emotions without being judged. A place where you can go for comfort, and for love. If home were a food, it would be a basket full of treats. Sweet treats showing the love and affection your family gives to you. If home were a drink, it would be lemonade. Lemonade is sweet and sour, just like your family! Sweet meaning comforting, and kindness. As well as sour, meaning sometimes you get into arguments with family members, but the sour taste eventually ends, when you work out the argument. If home were a season, it would be Spring. The rain and mud representing the negativity and sadness in my home. The sunshine, flowers, and the blossoms on trees represent the kindness and positivity that flows throughout my family.   If my family were a material, it would be iron. My family is tough. My family is important, just like iron and metal. We work through everything together. Home is a place to be funny, to be curious, to be kind, to be YOU. You are you at home. Home is home, your home, or my home, maybe someone else’s home. Everyone’s home is different, inside and out but that is what makes it special.
