The Meaning of Home to Me

When I think of home, I think of my family and my pets. I think of the love I give and get. I think of my family’s memories together, good, bad and funny. I think of the opportunities I get and enjoy. When I get home, I’m always greeted with love and happiness. My parents and siblings give hugs, kisses and joy, and I give it back. At dinner time, we eat, we laugh and tell stories about our day. If we feel bad the rest of the family gives comfort and cheers them up. During the day, we’ll either be blessed enough to go to school or we’ll stay home and have fun outside with our family. We’ll play sports, work in the garden and even have water fights. During the night we’ll watch movies together and laugh or cry together. We always find a way to push through the troubles and problems that come our way, because nothing can tear a family apart. I think everyone deserves the love and happiness I get with my family and pets. Therefore nobody should be homeless or without love and joy. Habitat for Humanity has given others a chance to enjoy happiness for themselves and others. We all deserve a home no matter what!
