Meaning of Home

Home is a special place that is a very comfy, safe, and welcoming area. Home is like a blanket covering you from the outside world or danger from strangers (stranger danger!). Home to me is my house now, but also my hometown. My hometown is a special place to me because when I was younger I had a best friend that lived right next to me. We would play tag, have playdates, and even go to school together. UNTIL I told her my family is going to move to Canada. She was sobbing and sobbing and saying she'll miss me. We had a big hug, and then I went to the airport, boarded the airplane and blasted all the way to Canada! Home should be a safe, happy, welcoming and special place for people. Some people’s home is a house or another place. Some people’s house isn’t even their home because it might have holes in the roof or rats/mice in the attic which is bad. I remember I had a house in my hometown that was small, so my family and I moved to another house and I lived with my aunts/uncles. Then my family and I moved aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the way to Canada and a ton of people gave us clothes, gifts, and some toys because I had 1 sibling at that time. Home can be a coffee shop, pizza place, mall, donut shop, continent, place, city, restaurant, store, house, park, garden, your own room, school, work. Homes are NOT always houses because it's wherever you feel welcomed, safe and happy. We all have different opinions of home. I have lots of homes and are all different and NOT always the same. It is kind of like humans NOT being the same. If they were all the same it would be boring FOREVER! Do you know what your home is? One of mine is where I used to live. I hope yours is a happy, safe, and welcoming place to be.
