What Does Home Mean to Me?

Home to me is not a place, it is a feeling. Why do I love my home? I love my home. Because you can be yourself, where it's safe, you can have your feelings without anything taking you away. In your home you can feel warm, like drinking a cup of coffee or happy like seeing a rainbow. Staying at home is fantastic. You can stay with people with an awesome and safe life and an invisible shield. All the places that I call home. I call many places home. The first place I call home is Colombia, because it is the place where I grew up. For me it is a little bit difficult to stay far from my family and my home but it is better for me and my family because we search for a better life. Another place is Bogota, because it is the place where I have lived for 10 years. Much of my family is there, and it is so fun and familiar. When my cousin comes, I can go to play with him and my other cousins and smile because we are happy to be together. Now, life is different because I am living in another country, Canada, because my family is searching for a better life. A life with such safety, happiness and fun that my dreams can come true, is where I am living now. Specifically, we are in Kelowna, which is the city that I am living in. This feels like home too, because my mom, my dad and my sister are here with me. We are comfortable here. We can be together a lot here, where in Colombia my parents worked a lot. It feels like a bird in the sky flying free or a bird that doesn't have an end.
