Meaning of Home

What does home mean to me? Home is a place where I feel safe and secure. In my home I can be free and comfortable to be myself Home is a special place to me because of the amazing quality time we spend together. I chose the word quality time because spending time with my family is so important for me. We love to do tricks on our climbing wall together, and ski at Lake Louise on the fresh crisp snow. We have so much fun together! No matter where we go or what we do as long as I am spending time with my family I feel at home. Home also means being cozy and warm. When I think of home I think of my comfy, cozy room full of my stuffies. To me the words cozy and warm also means safety! When I am at home with my family, I feel comfortable and confident to be myself. When I am outside of my home I need to commit to try and sometimes it can be hard and scary. The most important reason that comes to my mind is Family. Family is the most important part of my life. I always feel safe and secure when I’m with my family. Home is important because of the family I have. It’s not about the walls, roof, size, or rooms. It is about the people you love and spend your time with. Just like my family! I am thankful for living in a home. Lots of people don’t have homes, and that’s why I am writing this. I want to help by raising money and donating. I love my home but even if I did not have a home, I’d still be thankful because I have an incredible loving family.
