What Home Means to Me

When I walk up the stairs to my home, I already know I am not alone. I walk into the door after a long day, And I feel lucky to have somewhere warm to stay. When I walk upstairs to see my brother, We talk and laugh and then I'm on my way to see another. I walk down stairs and see my mom is cooking, When I came over she caught me looking. I love my home because have somewhere to live, And when I’ve done something wrong, Ive learned to forgive. I have so many memories I don’t ever want to forget, But when I move out, They will never leave my heart quite yet. HOME is my safe, happy place.
