Meaning of Home

Home is where you are born, grew up and have lots of memories. For me Zimbabwe is the country where I was born, where my family and I lived in a beautiful house, with 3 dogs for 10 years. My parents rented our home. At home this is where I was taught the value of family, how to always do my best, and that it is ok not to be perfect. At home I am free to be myself in my own space and I love the smell of fresh cooked food from the kitchen being prepared by my mum or grandmother. My all time favorite food is Sadza and veggies also known as cornmeal and khail in Canada and this is the staple food where I am from. For some home is where they are cared for by people who are not really their relatives like an orphanage or foster home. I now live in Canada, and this is where my new home is with my parents. I get to see my stepdad everyday and learn new things like how to ice skate, roller blade, home schooling, and playing in the snow. I had my first white Christmas in my new home. I look forward to more fun happy memories with my family. I can not wait to see what summer is like here, next on the list I hope will be camping.
