What Home Means to Me

Home is a place of shelter where people go to eat, sleep and be safe. To me home is a place where I have made memories with my family. I feel safe, loved, and happy when I am at home. My home is a place where lots of memories have been made. I have lived in my home for my whole life and throughout the years I have made so many memories, such as when my brother was born, and we brought him home from the hospital. Another memory that makes my heart happy has been dancing virtually in my dance room. I never thought I would have to dance from home, but it has been better than I thought it would be. This past year we have continued making memories together by having late night swims and playing with our dog. Home is a place of safety. My parents have always made us feel safe by protecting us. My home is a safe place because I have walls to keep me warm, food to keep me healthy and a bed where I can sleep. My home is a happy and loved place because when we play games together, we laugh and have fun. My home is a place of love because when I am with my family, I feel comforted and happy. Home can mean so many things to people but to me it is where I feel most safe with the people I love.
