Home To Me

Home, my home and what it means to me. The word home has many different meanings, but this is the meaning I gave it. Home to me means somewhere I can be myself and have no one judge me, to be safe from the outside world when life gets a little bit to real. My home is safe and warm, but a house is sometimes cold and not safe. I want everyone to be safe and have a house they can call their home. Houses are just a building or a structure with no love, but a home has love and laughter, people smiling, fun and so many other things that houses don't have. I know not everyone in the world is as fortunate as my friends and I, but everyone should have a home. I love that this organization wants to make a difference in the world one house at a time, so being able to be apart and knowing that this "story" will contribute $10.00 to help build a home that is amazing. 2020 was a very scary and tough time. While we were in our homes safe from Covid-19, the people that did not have homes were being put in danger and exposed. I used to have a friend that would come over to my home all the time and when I would go to her house she would tell me that she never felt safe and that she found security in my home then hers. When she told me this I was very sad and I knew that everyone deserves a home that they feel safe in. All I care about is that this will get peoples attention and get people to take action and make a difference one house at a time.
