What Home Means To Me

Home. Home is a place where you feel safe. It's a place where lines meet and end. A home is where memories are made, and lives are lost. It is a place where you can express yourself in as many ways as you want. You can sing and dance when no one is looking, you can just be who you are, and no one can judge. Home is where you can have anything in there, maybe you have an obsession with yogurt or ice-cream, and you need a fridge to keep it in. Or maybe you just need a home to come to after a long day at work or school and you have a nice welcome feeling because you see a family member or pet that brings you joy. A house is different, you cannot feel safe or make memories there. It's just a building with nothing inside. There's no love or joy, just plain walls with a roof or an unfinished feeling. When you are in someone's home it doesn't feel right, maybe you don't know where the bathroom is or you don't feel like you belong, that feeling is what is in a house. You don't belong in a house, you belong in a nice cozy home sitting by a fire trying to warm up on a cold day with a family member or pet. You see a house is different from a home, it's hard to see when people have a house, and they need love and joy. In conclusion, a home is better than a house because you can feel safe without fear or just being yourself without anyone to judge.
