What is the Meaning of Home?

They say “There’s no other place like home.” but in reality it's just a feeling, like when you walk in a new house or move somewhere you don't just have the feeling of home. You need to explore it and have experience with it. So what does home mean to you? Is it a brick house? Or is it a place where you can eat sleep and express yourself? I feel like home is somewhere that you should feel comfortable and should be in a safe environment. But to me, a house is just a big structure made out of bricks, cement, and glass. Home is where you can spend time with your family and friends, have people to talk to and have things to do when you’re bored. From playing games to cooking in the kitchen, there is always something to keep you entertained. Not all homes are brick houses with a roof on top. Think about the children lost on the streets. What do you think happened to them? Sometimes people lose jobs and especially at these times some businesses have shut down and now there are more people living out in the streets than ever, freezing cold and starving. What do you think you would do if you were in this situation? You can spend time alone at home by yourself too, you don’t always need someone to be there. Without a home you wouldn’t have electricity to charge your phone or to play video games. You wouldn’t have a place to sleep in, somewhere to go to the bathroom, or even access to water. No matter what home you are living in you still have a home that matters to you. Home is just a feeling, you never walk into a house and say “This is my home”. It’s more like “There is no other feeling like home.” No matter where you will always have a home waiting for you somewhere.
