The Meaning of Home

Home, a place where you can stay, feel safe and feel loved by the people around you. Home, a place where I myself feel loved by my parents and siblings and feel safe around these people in the house. But the question is, why is a home so important?. Home makes you make memories with people that you trust, feel comfortable, and have a shelter. Aren’t you grateful for having a roof over your head to protect you from rain, snow and disasters?. It’s like people without a home have a rain cloud on top of their head all the time. I see people sitting on the ground asking for help and holding signs that say “I need money to survive” makes me feel so bad and wanting to help. But, as a 4th grader, I don’t have money with me all the time. I really wonder how people get homeless. Is it because the homeless person's family thinks he/her wasn't good enough for the family? My questions are endless, but I do really feel so bad and can’t help them. Home is a place to burst out your tears, laugh endlessly with your family, a place where you can get food anytime and so many more things that can happen in your home. The homeless always feel hungry and homeless people get make fun of when they burst out their tears because they are not in a house with privacy. So, how do you feel having a home? Do you feel grateful? Or do you feel happy you have a home? Well, you have to figure out an answer, and it is your choice.
