What Home Means to Me

As I walked into my well-built new house The walls flashed with colour The floor shined in the sunlight. I stared at the floor, then at mom She glanced at the workers They moved our old furniture in The colours of our furniture matched our house But… It wasn’t complete… It missed something.. I stepped inside, the warm fireplace comforted me The loving hugs of mother The yummy cooking of father The warm yarn made sweaters of grandma The company of sister and brother This is what made our house called “Home..” The dark white moon arrived. The moonlight glistened in my new room as I slowly drifted off to sleep. Everyone Deserves a Warm Home. Where they’ll always be welcomed.
