The Meaning of Home

A house has walls, floors and a ceiling. A home has an indescribable feeling. Feelings like no other Although there is another, The feeling of being safe and are surrounded by family and love. A home receives blessings and protection from above, A place where memories are made. And comfort when you are afraid. When someone has a difficult day, You come home to hear people say, Let us help you feel, a better way! Other homes may be a car, Some are near and some are far. All homes are different and unique, Some rattle if the structure's weak. As I write this poem I think about, Everyone who lives without. Without homes, food or even health, While others are selfish, because they have wealth, And a house to go home to. Though the less fortunate see it in another view. A home should be something that everyone can own. Even if you live alone. A home is there for you in many ways. It gives you shelter on rainy days. Everyone's home is special in its own way. Perfect in every way, day after day. I'm hoping that this poem I wrote, Will give someone more than just a coat. This poem could help someone in need, Because they deserve it indeed! Everyone can have a home.
