What home means to me

A home is not just a house or a place to live. It can be so much more than that, if you can expand what you think and wonder what it really means to you. A home should be a place that makes you feel comfortable, a place to express yourself and let you be you because everyone is unique in their own way. Most people feel happy and stable knowing they have a roof over their heads, money, or nice and fresh food. But some people don’t have what others do like a roof over their heads, money, or nice and fresh food. People shouldn’t wish for a home because they don’t have a roof over their head, but because they already have something special to them. Everyone has something special that makes them happy. Something that makes them forget their problems and calms them down. Some people might say it’s their pet or calm music, but to me, it’s my family. Even if we didn’t live in a house my family would always be there to comfort me, keep me safe, and make me still feel at home. We have made countless memories together from each and every year from New Years to Christmas that I, for one, will never forget. In my opinion, most people wouldn’t feel complete or where they are without their family, because your family supports you, keeps you happy no matter what happens, and gets you through your obstacles. It’s nice to know that there will always be someone taking care of me. A home should make you feel like you belong, and it makes me feel joyful that I will always, no matter what, will have a place to belong with my family.
