Meaning of Home

Melina Madic Meaning of Home My house is so pretty With walls, doors and floors, It has windows and stairs And a long corridor. My house is made of Cement, bricks and stone, But that’s not what makes up My sweet loving home. My home is the noises Always floating around, Loud voices and laughter Can always be found. My home is the smells That change through the day, The cooking and clean laundry Like a fresh cut bouquet. My home is my mother, my father My brother, as well My sweet little doggy That makes my heart swell. My home is my cozy, inviting And warm little bed, My favourite pillow To snuggle my head. My home is the love, The affection, the cheer, That give me the power Of having no fear. And when the house is empty I sit all alone, An awful feeling tells me Now it's just a house not a home.
