What home means to me

What home means to me. I believe that a house and a home are two very different things. A house is a material object made up of bricks and wood, but a home is about the people that live within it. A home is love, comfort, reassurance, stability, and happiness. It’s the heart, the connection to everything. A home is a safe place to rest and a place to be comforted by loved ones. There is a song that is played on the radio. In this song it says “home is where the heart is.” This means wherever your love and happiness lies, that's your home. With every person who writes about what home means to them, maybe even homeless families can feel like they have a home even without a house, because they have each other. Hopefully not being alone, and feeling loved, is enough to find happiness. So, to me, home is the most important place in my life. It's the place where me and my family play together, and comfort each other. But most importantly, home is where the people you love are, not the place they’re found in, and for me it’s where my happiness never ends.
