What home means to me.

To me. home is a safe place, where I can share my thoughts with the loved ones inside of it. To me, home is not walls, and a roof, it’s more than that. It’s a structure where I can feel welcomed, accepted, and appreciated. I am currently living in a rental house, this rental house is smaller than my former house, but it is okay, as long as I have my family with me, I don’t need anything else. I have a lot of memories in my former house, but I am looking forward to making new memories in this rental home. Holidays in my former house were very unique, I remember one Christmas in my old house, me and my family would open one present each, and my sister and I picked the smallest one’s so that we could open the bigger ones the next day. Before Covid-19, my family and friends would come over and celebrate Christmas, birthdays and holidays, and it was very special and fun to me. At that time my family and I were at our former house. My home is a lovely and a comfy place to hang out in. With pictures on the walls my home feels magical, it feels like I can be myself. My home is not complete without my family! My family includes my mom, my dad, my sister, and my dog Dexter. My home is filled with love, and laughter wherever I am. My home is an extraordinary place. What I'm trying to say is that it doesn’t matter who you’re with or where you are, it’s the memories that make home so special. And that’s what home means to me.
