What Home Means to Me

Home means lots of things. It means spending time with family, eating great food, being safe and enjoying my space. First, I will talk about my family. My family is very kind, and we do lots of things together. My brother and I are home schooled with my mom, and my brother and I wrestle with my dad. As a family, we skate, swim, play cards, camp and watch family shows. My family is very loving and play a big role in my home. Food plays a big role in my home. That is what keeps all of my family energized. As a family we try to eat healthy balanced meals. I sometimes help my parents make meals and I find it so fun. Our house also makes me feel safe. I have a nice warm shelter in a safe area and caring family. I also like that I can be myself at home. In public, I don’t feel as comfortable as I do at home. At home, I talk a lot and can openly express my opinions. That makes me feel safe too. I have my own big, warm, nice bedroom too. That is where I have my cozy bed with so many cozy blankets and pillows to sleep in and lots of books. There are comic books, graphic novels and novels. I like that my room is very calming. Home means a lot to me.It means family, eating great food, being safe and enjoying my space. It doesn't just mean my house but what we do in the house and what there is in the house.I am very grateful to have a great home.
