When a home is empty

You can tell when a house is empty It looks old and unfinished Rusty and weak Not quiet the same Not very unique The love is gone It does not look alive Something awaits it deep inside It creaked and it cried for a family of its own That’s when my family called it our home We painted it yellow with a little bit of red That’s when our home became alive once again The places we have been The places we have seen We just can’t forget how those memories came to be.
