What Home Means to Me

What home Means to me is family. What I mean is all the joy we share and the kindness we bring to each other . Family is amazing to have in your life. Home means love. I mean they take care of us, they give us education, and they put a roof over our heads. I moved around a lot before I lived with my Dad and mom (step mom). In my past I did not have a real home, for the longest time I did not know the true meaning of home. In my past what really did not make it feel like home, is that no one cared to do the most important thing like make sure that we were healthy (mentally and physically). Another reason is, no one cared what we did or said, they didn’t care about their actions or words, they only looked out for themselves. With what I have been through in my past it made me emotional, I felt overwhelmed a lot with people coming and going and what was happening around me. Now I have the true meaning and the understanding of home ! Home is a place where you can express your emotions to family, being with people that enjoy your company, spending time with me and one another. What home also means to me is spending time with people I love or that you love. It warms your heart! It’s a place where you support each other, a place of laughter, a place that cheers you up when you are sad. Yes they do. Home is more than just love, it’s everything ! Love, joy, kindness and more. Family will stay with you forever no matter what and they will always have your back. Because of my past it has shaped me to be who I am today. I’m still working on myself each and every day, to become a better person. If it wasn’t for the home I’m in, I would not have had the true meaning of home. That is my true meaning of home!
