This is Home

To me, home means a place that is not four walls and a roof, but a place where you are with the people you love, meaning, it doesn't matter where you are. I feel this way because I moved from London, England to Toronto, Canada, when I was 8 years old, and I did not feel at home for a while. But my family made it seem like we had not moved at all, I think this proves that as long as I am with my family, and feeling loved, everything feels like home. I think that home also means a place where you can make mistakes, and learn from them. I think this because if you did not make mistakes, then you will not have anything to learn from. Your mistakes can be funny and heartwarming as well. For example, if you were baking and maybe put too much sugar in the thing you are making, you learn, and have fun! I am able to make these mistakes at home because my family does not judge me, and they love me for who I am. It has been 2 years since I moved, and now, I feel like home is everywhere. In Canada, I have made so many new friends, and experienced so many new things! I have made mistakes, learned from them, I have argued, been in trouble, and enjoyed most of it. Things I have experienced include rock climbing, biking more often, skating, sledding, building snowmen, and so much more. In conclusion to my essay, moving has been a great experience for me and my family, this is what home means to me.
