What Home Means to Me

What is a home? Well, I have two. They both are warm and dry. In both of them I like to sit, And watch the day go by. Each home has one of my parents, And one or two of my pets, They both have my same brother, Whom I love and don’t regret (mostly…). In both homes, I feel safe, Accepted as myself. In both of them I have my bed And books upon the shelf. A home to me is happy, A home to me is sad. A place you can burst out in tears, A place you can be glad. A place you are not hungry, A place you are not cold. A place that you feel safe and loved, Whether you’re young or old.
