What Does Home Mean To Me?

Home is the place where I go to feel safe, No matter the size, no matter the shape. If I lost my home, I’d lose my peace, I’d lose my direction, I'd lose my nice sleeps. Home is the place I go to feel free, To be myself, to be just me. If I’d lost my home, I’d lose my hope, I wouldn’t know what to do, or how to cope. Home smells to me like a sweet, warm, family Baking cookies, and looking for recipes. If I lost my home, I’d lose my napping time, I’d lose my confidence, I'd lose my happy time. But some people don’t have a home to go back to. When they're having a bad day, and what if they need a nap, too? That is one of the reasons I'm writing this poem, Let's give someone a home. We owe ’m.
