The Meaning of Home

Home, a place where I feel appreciated wherever I go. When I fall, my family is there to help me back on my feet. It is a place where I will not be judged or hurt. It is a place where I feel loved, warm and safe. The difference between a house and a home is that a house is just a place with a roof and four walls. A home is a place where your family and friends are. You feel safe and warm, caring for the people you love and the people that love you back. Not everybody is as fortunate as you and I to have a home. That is why you should donate to Habitat for Humanity, to give the people in need a home. It will change their lives forever. All it has to be is just a small donation. It is a privilege to feel safe and loved. Every night before I go to sleep, I think to myself “I’m safe”, and that is one of the best feelings in the world. I am so fortunate and thankful for my home.
