What Home Means To Me

Home is like a hug, it is welcoming, comforting and amazing. When I enter my home, I am surrounded by family, and I can unwind. I am confident and not afraid while inside my house. No one should be alone or homeless. Charities, programs and volunteers light the way for those in need, but it's not as easy as it seems. I believe that everyone should have a safe space- a home, like I do. Home is where memories are made, where you can smell rich cooking from the kitchen. Home is where you have a roof over your head that keeps you warm in the winter. It's where you can sleep in a bed and savor the moment. Home is a place love is shared, where you will grow up and mature. Most of all, a home is such an important piece of our lives. You have somewhere to share secrets and stay true to yourself and others. Home is somewhere to go and know that you are safe. Home is a place where you are welcome, warm and wonderful. To many, home means something different. Some say home is where they feel safe or silly. But to me, home is where I can be myself and express my feelings. Home to me is where I can live, love and laugh. Please take my word: Everyone deserves a home.
