Meaning of Home

Home is not just a place, it’s a feeling, it’s somewhere where you feel safe, loved, protected and happiness. I see my bed in my room I like my bed because it’s so cozy it’s as soft as a cloud. Next to my bed is my desk I like my desk because it’s a good space to draw and write but it’s as hard as a rock. In my living room there is a couch. My couch is a gray colour and I think it looks awesome! Also, in my living room there is a T.V which we use to watch movies as a family, and I see my yummy food sitting on my dinner table. I hear my brother shooting pucks in the basement. In the living room I hear the T.V because me and my family are watching a movie or a show and I hear my music playing from my Alexa. I hear my family and me laughing because we saw a funny part of the movie. I touch my new weighted blanket that feels soft. I feel my family when I hug them. I also feel the warm water in the shower. I feel my cozy pillow on my bed. I taste my food on the dinner table. I taste my cold water. In conclusion, home is not just a building, it’s family. I’m thankful for Habitat for Humanity for helping families build homes and better futures.
