Home Isn’t just a House. ( A Letter Made by S.R.M.Rishi)
Dear Home,
Good afternoon. I hope you are doing well. I am writing to you about what you mean to me and why you are so special. To me, you are more than just a house. You are special because you have so many good qualities, you are different from others, and because you are important to me and my culture. You aren’t just a house to me, you mean so much more.
You have so many qualities that make you special. You are a place full of love, fun games, good food, tons of memories, and lots more. You are also a shield preventing me and my family from strangers and insecurity. You are like my best friend. When I am with you, I always feel that you are like some kind of imaginary friend who will always be with me in many shapes and forms. Whenever I come back from school, you always give me a warm welcome. You give me fresh air every time I open your windows.
You are different from others because you are always taking care of me. Every day, every night, you are always my best friend and look out for me. You gave me a room to stay in, where I get to have lots of fun doing arts, crafts, playing games, studying, and sleeping. You are different from others because I get to decorate you and live with you in any way I want to. I can hang up my drawings on your walls, place furniture where I want to place it, cook in your kitchen, use your washroom, and watch television in the living room. I also get to take care of my mom’s plants so that you and I have enough oxygen to breathe.
Finally, you are important to me and my culture. That is because you are like my first school, and my first teachers are my parents. I learned the basics of everything from you. I really love you.
Your Best Friend,
Rishi Majumder
