The Meaning of Home
The Meaning of Home
By Ricabella
A home isn’t just built with walls and a roof, it’s more like memories we build with the people you love, it’s like every picture is a new adventure.
Every time you go someplace new, it's a new beginning and every time you go home your story gets bigger.
I have lived in my home for as long as I can remember but it never gets too old for me. It's like a part of my family.
Every birthday, it's there to wake me up.
Every Christmas, it's there to let us decorate.
Every Halloween, it's there to give candies and joy.
Hundreds of memories built in my home!
If I move away, I will have to let them go - just like balloons in the sky.
Once I let it go, I’ll have to restart my new beginning, in a new home.
I have three floors in my house. My family room holds most of the memories. Most of the pictures are there. They started small but they grew into something I won’t forget. It’s one reason why I don’t want to leave.
My Grandma sleeps in one bedroom so I sleep with my mom. But I don’t mind. It's big enough for the two of us so we shouldn't have to say goodbye.
My home has different emotions - happy and sad but the best one of all is love. My home is like two perfect doves flying in the sky watching over my house to protect it.
Every time I go home, my story gets bigger and bigger as my home is filled with new moments that slowly turn into important memories.
My story will end one day but I’ll have a new beginning in a new home. And I’m happy to say…
We live and we learn but we will always return to the place we call home - the place of small moments that turn into something we won't forget…
Memories.
Now, we know what is home, so make unforgettable memories before you start a new beginning in a new home.
