House vs Home

A house is somewhere where you stay. It's just rooms and walls, windows and roofs. It's cold, it's nothing it's just a building. Shingles and wires it's sad, quiet there are probably mice. It's lonely and it's uncomfortable. It's sometimes brick. A home is a beautiful place with beds and pictures on the walls, it's fun! You have your pet running around, it's loving and much better then a house. It's safe and it is warm. There are memories and it's cozy. It's toasty and happy and there are colourful walls and you have friends. Home to me feels like going skating and playing hockey. Home to me feels like going to my cottage and playing in the water. It feels like going on my dads sea doo. Home to me feels like playing sports in my basement. Home to me feels like smelling my mom cooking supper and cookies. Home to me feels like hitting trickshots on my basketball net outside and inside. It feels like hockey football and basketball and playing with my sister and probably fighting. Home feels like playing in the snow and on my swings. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for the opportunity to participate in your contest!
