Home is just not made out of concrete

Home is not made out of concrete. Home is made out of a lot of things you can think of like smells, tastes., touches, sights, and sounds. Home can be a smell. I can smell the aroma coming from the kitchen. Then I see its cookies! I race to the kitchen to grab one. I love the smell of chocolate chips and dough and can think of the way it goes into my tummy. Home can be when the rain drops outside and laughs inside. I feel cozy inside even though it's so cold. Home can be the taste of the cake my mom bakes with care and love. It tastes better with my family's help even though we make a lot of mistakes. Home can be a touch. When I am scared, I go to my parents' room because outside it's very stormy and scary. We all laugh and have a great time. I feel safe in my house with my parents. Home can be a sight. Every day when I come home from school, my brother sees me and runs up to the door to let me in the house. I feel welcome to home. Home is not just made out of concrete. It's made out of the protection we make with love, care and shine.
