Home to Me

I have 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 3 siblings, and they all STINK!! I walk into my house, and all my dogs are jumping on me!! >:( But I don’t mind because I love my dogs. They may stink but I don’t care. The warm feeling of their fur on me is soothing. When I walk into my house, I see the walls surrounding me, a safe place. The roof, it protects me from snow, rain, cold, hail, and more. I see my siblings running toward me to hug me. When I walk into my house I hear my dogs barking, excited to see me. I hear my siblings yelling my name. I hear my parents saying hello to me. When I walk into my house I smell the scent of food being made. I smell my dogs. When I walk into my house I feel the air flowing through the room. I feel my dogs jumping on me. A home is not just where you sleep, it’s a shelter, a place of belonging, memories, a habitat, and a place where you can do whatever you want.
