My Home in Ukraine
My home, my home was an unusual place for me.
My parents were divorced, but at home it didn’t even feel like that.
I lived happily with my mom and cat.
I often heard banal sounds like: my mom’s footsteps, a boiling kettle, a cat purring, and always the clock. Time flew by quickly during happy times, reminding me that childhood passes too quickly.
I had my own room littered with toys.
But most of all I remember the big gray bear that my aunt gave me for Valentine's Day.
At night, this place became magical for me.
I had a nightstand with a perfume magazine on it. I often read this magazine and sniffed small samples, inhaling the delicate or rough scent of perfume.
But most of all, I liked perfume that smelled like marshmallows. A soft and delicate scent.
Later, my mom bought me this perfume for a holiday.
Yes, my house wasn’t the richest or the most beautiful, but it was definitely the best for me.
