Meaning of Home
My home may be made of wood, sticks and bricks, but that's not what home means to me. Some people say that home is a place, but I think that home is a feeling. It’s kind of like your 6th sense. Emotion. A place where you can laugh, cry, rage and scream. A place where you can be depressed, frustrated, anxious and mad! My home reminds me of my family and how they comfort me. The food I should be very grateful for and especially the house itself. To be honest, my family didn’t start in this house. We moved from Alberta! We bought this house because the weather here is amazing! The thing is, our house wasn’t a new house. In fact, our house started very old but with the help of my parents and even me, it's the beautiful home we all know and love. My little sister was just a baby when the house was finished and she helped us all by boosting our energy! She couldn’t walk but when me and my mom would take care of her, we would make jokes and hug her. Home also means helping and cleaning. I have to do chores and I am proud that I do. It teaches me independence. I also must help because I live in this house and I don’t pay the bills or pay taxes so I should help however I can! Home is where I play, eat, work and sleep. I am at home most of the day, even including school! I am so grateful to live in a warm house with clothes, water and much much more.
