What Home Means to Me

To me, home is a safe place where I can express my feelings and thoughts freely. For me, home is the warm embrace of my parents after an excruciatingly long day at school or work. home is the sound of the television playing while me and my family are together on the couch. To me, home is the sight of me sitting in my library and my cat is sitting on my lap while my mom is making dinner in the background. home is the smell of my mom baking her delicious gingerbread cookies that me, my mom, and my brother will decorate later. For me, home is the taste of my mom’s home made mac and cheese that she adds mushrooms to because she knows they are my favourite vegetable. To me, home is a feeling of warmth and belonging. Home is my family to me.
