What Home Means to Me
Home means a safe place to live and be me, while feeling all my emotions. It's also a place where our culture and traditions are encouraged, safe, and respected. It's my bedroom where I can change in privacy and sleep in peace. My home smells like my favourite foods and the fresh pages of my books. My home feels like hugs and the feeling of safety when I sink into my comfy couch while reading books. It looks like a coat of fresh paint and secureness of its walls, a constant reminder to be grateful to have a place to sleep and eat. It sounds like laughter, jokes, and world war lll when something goes wrong but ends as calm as a lake. My home tastes like a huge cookie, sweet and crunchy but might collapse when an ingredient is missing. The living room is my favourite place where I can play poker cards with my family on the table, and a place where I can read.
My home, merrily and bright, dreaming safety tonight ,
its smell, like my favourite foods, its aroma in the night .
Feeling safe when I sink into my couch, comfy and bright,
Reading my favourite book underneath the bright light.
Looks like a coat of paint, securing dull walls with no fright,
A reminder to be grateful to have a safe home tonight.
My home sounds like laughter and jokes underneath the dim light,
It might turn into world war three but ends up alright.
It tastes like cookies sweet and crunchy, but might be gone tonight,
But will collapse when an ingredient is in no sight.
My living room, a place where my family can play in delight,
it’s a place where I can learn underneath the brightening light.
