Home Is A Feeling In My Heart

"Where we love is home – home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts." Is home a feeling or just a place? The feeling of home to me is the most peaceful place on earth, where I feel loved, cared for and the freedom to be myself. Home isn't just a place for me, it is a feeling in my heart! Home is where I feel comfort and a safe place to express my feelings. My feeling of home is like the ocean, warm, peaceful, safe and freedom to be me. Home is a warm feeling, feeling of big tight hugs and big cheek kisses. Before we moved from our old house, I was asked by my parents “what city would you like to live in?” I answered, “I would love to live anywhere as long as I have my family, because home to me is a feeling of love from my family and not just a place to live in.” Home is a beautiful sunny morning, waking up and seeing my family and enjoying a yummy breakfast together. Home is the fresh smell of home cooked meals and my favourite, the smell of fresh tomato sauce cooking. Home is my beautiful backyard filled with big beautiful trees and rolling hills. This brings peace and relaxation to my soul. Home is my mom, dad and sister. It’s where I feel loved more than anything. Home is the greatest blessing of my younger sister. Her kindness, beautiful heart makes my world better everyday. She is like my sunshine, with a love that always glows. What makes your home feel so special? Home isn't just a place for me, it is a feeling in my heart. There is no place like the feeling of being home.
