Where I Belong

Home is sitting by the fire with a mug of warm hot chocolate. My dogs that are as cute as stuffed animals. Family dinner and my brothers running around the house. Sitting by the campfire with laughter filling the air. Watching the animals at the Moncton Zoo. Home is seeing my family on Christmas Eve and making gingerbread men. Watching the sunset on the soft red sands. Jumping and splashing in the pool with my cousins. The bump, set, spike and sneakers screeching. Home is long summer road trips. Salted caramel ice cream dripping everywhere. Grammies house that is sweet as her apple pie. Feeling the hot sun beaming on me at the beach. Working hard during games and dribbling up the court. Being wrapped up in blankets on a cold rainy day. Home is where I belong.
