Meaning of Home

To me a house is not just a building it’s like a book that starts with the joy and the love of the people you share it with,The friends and family you share memories with And The adventures that could been on a rainy day, playing board games and taking the win, it could be just sitting down and reading your favorite book with your family. With your mother, your father, your brother, your sister, your cousin, your grandmother or your grandfather! Anyone you share your book with ,anyone who makes your home special. But that's not the end of the story . Think of the pictures on your walls, they are not just ordinary moments that happen on a random day, they are memories of the times we have shared together . Maybe it was a normal day that turned into something extraordinary. Sometimes things that make your home special can be something you don’t expect. Like when I smell my mom’s cooking floating in the air and landing on my nose. Or being awoken by the sound of sweet birds singing in the sunrise. Or even in the evening when we all sit together and share our stories of the day, maybe we have some bad news or something that happened that might have made us blue ,we can always count on each other to understand and have empathy. My home is my shield that protects me from evil. My home is like my superhero hideout. It wraps and hugs me when the world seems to end. Even our neighbors are part of our home . In my neighborhood we help each other in our times of need. And celebrate a big win ! This is why I love what Habitat For Humanity is doing. I believe that everyone should have a house to call home, that everyone should have memories of growing up somewhere that they know is safe. So that is what I think home means to me.
