The Happiness of Home

Home is a place that brightens your heart. Home could be a cozy place that you love. Home could be a place you can be by yourself. Your home could be with a person that you trust, for example, a friend. Whatever it is, I think that it is a cool place. A home could be where your family is, and a house is a building that you sleep under to protect you from the wind and the cold. For me, my home is where my family is. Sometimes the home that I imagine is me in my basement by the fire with my family, which is my little brother, my mom, and my dad; because I can trust them and they make me feel happy and safe. In the basement, I am sitting on the couch under a blanket with my family by the fire telling happy stories about all the good memories that we made together. When we are telling the stories, I can feel the warmth of the fire, I can smell the birch wood burning in the fire, I can taste the smoke coming from the fire, and I can see the ashes coming up from the fire. So that is what I imagine my home sometimes to be like for me. Maybe your home has a pet that you love. Your home could be a happy place. Your home could be like a warm hug full of love and happiness. Your home could be around the people that are nice to you. Your home could be if you moved and you found a special charm or bought something that you really love and when you look back at the charm or if you got something else, it reminds you of the good times that you had there. You do not need to have a house to have a home because home is in your heart. I think that it is a really nice place full of things that you love and enjoy! What does your home mean to you?
