Home
When you think about home you might think of some walls with a roof on top, but that's not what home means. It means being with people you love and trust.
One key component of a good home is family, like when my brother and I go sledding on a snow day and are outside for hours with our dog Joey. Or family game night when we stay up past our bedtime playing board games. Or in the middle of the night, and it's a thunderstorm Joey sprints upstairs and cuddles right into my bed for the rest of the night.
One other key component of home is traditions like on Christmas morning we have an immense brunch when the whole family comes in their PJs and eats until we're stuffed. The day after we go to Sydney to see Nanny, Pop, our little cousin, and our aunt.
Number three and last key component of a good home is comfort, like getting home from a hard day and it's like your mom can read your mind and her arms are already open ready for a big bear hug. Or when you're sick and are snuggled up in a cozy blankie all day while watching your favorite show. When you're at home you should feel safe, and like you can be open to the people around you. So you can find your thing and get the support you need.
