What HOME Means to Me

The difference between a house and a home to me is that a house is a building and a home is where my family lives and where I'm happy. When I am inside my home, I feel safe. When I am outside of my home, the house looks good and the air outside my home smells fresh. When I’m at home, I hear positive things. In my living room I can smell the delicious food my mom cooks in the kitchen. When I am in my room, I feel the safest because I sleep in my room and I watch tv in my room. I have a lot of stuffed animals in my room, and I spend most of my time in my room. My dogs and my family make my house a home because I love my family and dogs and I like playing with my dogs. In my living room, I play my dad's Xbox. In the basement, I work out and play with some of my toys. In my room, I watch tv and play on my VR headset. In the kitchen, I eat the food my mom cooks. “Family home” to me means a home where my family is. I lost my dad due to cancer but all the memories are still in my home. The memories make me laugh, smile and sometimes cry; but my mom says that's ok and it is. My mom also says that even though he's not in our home he’s still in our hearts. It's been a year since he died but this year it's been easier to think about him and not cry so that's what family home means to me. THAT'S MY MEANING OF HOME
