The Meaning of Home
Home is more than just a house; it is Love, Responsibility, Kindness, and Relaxation.
Home is where I feel safe, loved and respected. In my house I have my brother, mom, dad and three pets. Home is where you make memories, either it's my annoying brother talking about how much better he is then me or my dog drinking out of the toilet for the first time. If I had no home I would be depressed and the the main thing I would miss has to be my family and my bed. My family because they mean the world to me and my bed because its like a self charging port.
In my house me and my family eat dinner together at the table and chat about our day and then sometimes we get dessert. After we are finished eating we put our dirty dishes in the dishwasher. I feel safe by my home because we live far away in the woods and my dad taught me survival skills. if I ever get lost and we have locks on almost every door in my house. Before I heard about habitat for humanity I thought home was just a place where you play and sleep but now I know that it's more than that.
I'm glad that Habitat for Humanity supports our school not only if you win you get a free iPad but it got me to think about how I can help the homeless or help make more houses and maybe help clean the ocean.
