With Family Comes a Home

A home is filled with laughter, joy, love, family, and happy memories. In my home we have a place of gathering, where we can share a meal in our dining room and there is always room for one more. Our bedrooms are where we start and end our day tucked in with love, and care, filled with happiness, peace, and warmth. The washroom is the perfect place to wash and feel clean. It's where we can forget and move on from sadness or anger before we start our day. Our kitchen is perfect with plenty of windows, and feeders so we can watch the birds fly by as we eat, bake, laugh, and cook. The living room is perfect. With a piano my mom plays while we sing along, warm, welcoming lights, and beautiful paintings that were done by family members of places, stories, and people. Living rooms are the perfect place for socializing, sharing, playing games and music and listening to each other. But the perfect place to play is our backyard. We can play and imagine. We run and jump. Sing and dream. And when we finally go back inside, a strong sense of warmth and familiarity washes over us. The basement is cozy with a fireplace we sit by to keep warm, with pictures of childhood memories with family. My rabbits live in the basement in little burrows. We pet them, play with them, and give them lots of treats. If we have each other side by side, we will always have a perfect little home.
