Home is My Happy Place

Home is my happy place. It’s where I am joyful. It’s where I belong. I have made memories for a long time. I feel different feelings. Sadness if my animal passes away. Home is also a place where you feel included and loved. I read books that tell me about the world’s mysteries. Different places and different people. I learn from my mistakes and that helps me to be a good person. When I think of my home, I think of my mom, my dad, and my sister. I am so grateful to have them in my life and if I didn't, I don't know what I would be. At home I compost and recycle to help the earth. I have my own room with all my paintings and memories. I have a bed that keeps me warm at night. My home is sturdy even when the winds are strong. My home is dry even when the rain is powerful. I feel safe in my home because I have cameras, smoke alarms, and my dog. I am so thankful to have my own home, and I know that some do not. I am so happy that Habitat for Humanity is a thing, and I also know other people are happy for Habitat for Humanity because they need help. Habitat for Humanity is helping those people in need.
