The Meaning of Home

Home is so much more than just a building with people in it, it's where you get loved and treated well and have memories with loved ones and stay warm. Home is a good place to eat food and stay clean and communicate with people if you're in danger or if you just want to talk to a friend for fun. If I had no home the things I would want or care to have is family ,love, and memories with family. If I could have extra things I would want my keyboard, my dog and my bed and lots of my other stuff. At home whether it's a corner or a closet or somewhere in your house there is always somewhere to feel safe and loved or maybe it's even not in your house it could be outside or maybe a friend of family's house. I love helping people so if I won Habitat for Humanity and got to donate 30,000 dollars to a family in need I would feel very helpful and good and even if I got second place I would feel very good giving 10,000 dollars too! The things I love that make home feel like home is listening to my dog lily run around the house with her claws making a funny noise and often listening to a hockey game, another thing that feels like home if the smells are often yummy dinner cooking in the oven. One of the biggest things that feels like home is the laundry machine! It's so loud it shakes the whole house it’s crazy! By: Isla Mae Stickles Habitat for Humanity!
