My Meaning of Home

What does home mean to you? Today, I am telling you what home means to me. When I wake up, I always hear my family say, “Good morning!”, and that makes me feel happy and loved. Speaking of happiness and love, let’s talk about emotions. After me or my brother's activities, my parents say, “good job!” or “you did great!”etc., that makes me feel proud of myself and willing to go further. Once I go to bed, my parents tuck me in my blanket and say, “Good night, I love you”, and that makes me feel like they care about me. I’m grateful for my bed because it keeps me warm and it is cozy. I’m grateful for my home for keeping me away from all the storms and blizzards. My home makes me feel safe. When I wake up, I always look forward to my breakfast in the morning, it always smells good, and it tastes great, and that goes for lunch and supper. Every holiday has some traditions. For example, Christmas morning, we all get together as a family, that includes my auntie and my grandparents, we choose a few presents and give our presents to everyone, we go through our stockings, we open the presents from Santa and our elf, and we open the last day of our Advent Calendar, and read the cards we get, then we eat our brunch and open the rest of our gifts! It’s about family! I have lots of memories, I had sleepovers with my cousins, and family celebrations, playing with my neighbour, and playing Roblox with my cousin and brother. Another thing about home is that when it’s cold out, you feel warm and cozy, and when it’s hot out, you stay in to cool off. That’s what home means to me.
