Home is a Never-Ending Book
A home is what you choose it to be - your family’s home, your country, or even your friends. Home is the people and places that make your burning desires come true. Home is not just a building; it's a never-ending book filled with stories of generations past and present. Each page tells my family’s story of love, laughter, and memories.
Home is where my pride and achievements are, all over the walls. These pictures? They are memories that decorate my picture book, telling the story with images and emotions. I close my eyes and sense the feelings; I am there.
My bedroom is my base, my cove, my headquarters. It is where I can cozy up in bed with a book away from the cold. All on my own, devouring books in my bedroom, I become the main character. Add in a soundtrack of calm, soothing music, and all my stress washes away.
The dining table is my favorite part of the storybook; it is where we share love and laughter. The dining table is also my personal alarm clock, as the delicious aroma of mouth-watering breakfast often wakes me from my slumber and lures me into the kitchen!
The living room is a loud and messy place where most of my family hangs out. It is where we share laughter and where happiness echoes through the house.
So thank-you Habitat for Humanity, for reminding me that a home is not just a building, but a never-ending book that tells my family’s stories of love, laughter, and treasured memories.
