Why is home important to me

My home is where I feel pride, I built a fort where I can hide. Under my bed is my personal space, A happy and quiet little place. I play with toys that look alive, In my house, I laugh and have fun. Toys and Legos all on the floor, I use my brain to build so much more. When I am home, I feel so safe, We share fun stories every day, We eat tasty Chinese food at the table, Noodles and rice are both my favourite foods. The smell is strong, the taste is yummy, It makes our family time complete. My mom helps me with homework each day, She shows me a better and more careful way. My dad helps me run and play, And teaches me to be strong every day. When I am sad and feel so low, They cheer me up and help me grow. They tell me I can reach the goals. My bed is cozy, warm, and clean, The softest place I’ve ever seen. I close my eyes and drift away, And dream about my future days. I want to be successful in life, jumping in joy and not working too hard. And be proud of all I’ve done. I miss my grandparents far away, In China is where they stay. I think of them and smile big, And wish they were right by my side. I hope they come here very soon, Maybe in spring or summer. Until that day, I always see them, In my heart, they’re always here. This is what home means to me, The best and safest place to be. It’s full of love, hope, and cheer, And that is why my home is supportive, safe.
