What is a home?
I sometimes think, what is a home? Is it just a place where we sleep at night and wake up in the morning? A home is where we laugh and play, where we tell our stories every day. It’s where we eat our food, It’s where we fight and sometimes shout, but then we hug and talk it out. It’s where we share our happy moments, and talk about the little things that happen in life. A home is a hug that feels so tight that the light will never die. A home is not about being big or fancy, or having toys that look and feel all dancy. It’s love, families, and friends who care, and all the little things we share. It’s the sound of footsteps in the hallway, loud stomps that make you laugh, the sunlight shining through the windows in the afternoon, the quiet corners where we can hide from everything. The very messy rooms we clean with loud music blasting so everyone in the near the room can hear, the holidays and celebrations that make the room very happy, the secrets that are safe with someone who cares, the games and adventures we make up on boring days, and the memories we build with each smile, each small moment shared. A home is where love grows, and every day feels like a blessing.
